· DEATH IN EDENVILLE http://deathinedenville.blogspot.com
A child commits an unspeakable crime, inciting a town to perpetrate an equally heinous act, supposedly in the name of justice.
Edenville, the epitome of small-town America, is forced into the present by a crime that erodes its heritage and its honor. As a result those involved are also put to the test of survival after loss. Put to the questioning of their values and abilities as well are the defense attorney and the judge. Did they do the right thing? Were their motives and decisions justified? Could they ever again face the challenge of justice? And, most of all, could they ever live with themselves and the consequences of their obligation to serve that justice?
The question asked is. . . can one evil be justified by another if it is committed in the name of justice? The answer can be found only in the conscience, and in the memory, of those who rationalized the action under the guise of the purpose. . . justice
